EOYS partners with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services to recruit and support foster homes for placement of custody children.   Children in OKDHS custody range from infancy to 17 years of age.  Each child or youth has been exposed to child abuse, neglect, or abandonment and, due to a variety of reasons, their birth parents are not presently able to provide care for them.  These are vulnerable children in need of warm, caring, and loving homes that can provide stability until a permanent plan, such as reunification or adoption, can be worked out.

Foster homes supported by EOYS receive:

·       Free training

·       Free foster home certification

·       Ongoing training

·       Personal attention by our staff

·       Regular, more frequent visits to the home than required by DHS policy

·       On-call support

·       Advocacy to the foster parents

·       Respite

·       Annual parties, retreats, or appreciation events
